As The Beacon Turns . .
Cableites have been busy with their projects; traveled to the far reaches of the world; joined together in the proverbial search for a fun place to fly for breakfast, brunch, or dinner; and taken that terrifying step into the wild blue yonder, trusting that their many hours of love and labor will hold together until they touch down again. Most of us other Cableites never hear about these adventures or possibilities. Along with other pertinent happenings affecting Cable Airport.…....As The Beacon Turns . . . . . . .

DONNELLY IS ADDED TO THE
P.O.O.P. TROPHY
“Dr. D” joined the elite group of the
‘Perpetual Order of Prang’
(In the tradition of honoring distinguished aviators of WWII, the “P.O.O.P.” Trophy is awarded to flyers who have made their mark most notably by damaging their flying machine.)
Frank added his rudder cable as part of the trophy. Of course we will not write about his mis-adventures, you might want to read about it in the July issue of the Pacific Flyer and check in with Frank himself.
The Perpetual Order of Prang has been reborn at Cable Airport to commemorate the pain shared by all after a local unfortunate incident. The details will never be published, but if you happen to find yourself enjoying the company of fellow aviators at Maniac Mikes Café or the “Tumbled Gyro”, you may have the privilege of hearing some great stories of how P.O.O.P. happens.
See March, 2009 Cable WEB Gram for the original story of the POOP Trophy.
