3-D Video at Cable Air Show

People at the Cable Air Show are use to photographers taking pictures of the airplanes, some using really long telephoto lens.

This year there even more questions about those guys and their really unusual cameras. They were in among the crowds, hanging out of helicopters, and airplanes. All three days, you could see them going from the south side to the north side for special shots.

Just a little background. 3net is a new 3D joint venture of the Discovery Channel, Sony and IMAX. In just a few months they will broadcast the first 24/7 full programmed, general entertainment  3D television network in the US. The seven guys with video and sound equipment are part of the production team of Arena Films 3D. They were contracted to produce 10—1 hour documentaries.  The PR statement: “This fast-paced, hour long, thrill-ride takes viewers behind the wheel, into the sky, across the seas and more on this once-in-a-lifetime journey featuring some of the wildest experiences life has to offer. The world’s biggest adventures are presented with all the incredible dimension and reality of stunning native 3D.”

Cable Air Show 2011 will be part of one of those 1 hour documentaries. Can’t wait to see what they do with it!!

Air-Show thanks go out to everyone of you that volunteered, worked, planned, scheduled, transported, hassled, sponsored, donated or any other activity that made this show a success despite the weather. It takes about 500 of us to make this happen and I am glad to be part of this team and appreciate that you are a part of it also.
