snow at Cable

How fortunate we are to be living in Southern California. We "had" fruit trees already in blossom all over the valleys, lots of flowers blooming along side the roads. People from parts East still in their long-johns and heavy coats, digging out from their latest snow storms. Here we had a short burst of rain and hail, then snow in the mountains. It is so nice to look out on a beautiful day, seeing it up there in the mountains!

Important notice to all our valued customers

As you all know we've had our share of not so good luck in the last few months. With the two hangar fires we are all aware that some sort of hangar inspections will be required by the fire department. As we wait for a "self inspection" worksheet being developed by the fire department, there are a few items that I am aware of that they will be looking for. Some of these are common sense but others you may not know of.

If you have any extension cords that are plugged in all the time, please unplug them while not in use. No overhead lighting may be run off of extension cords either and be sure to have a current fire extinguisher in your hangar..

As we receive additional information from the fire department we will pass it on. If you would like the airport to pre-inspect your hangar and give you our opinion of what needs to be remedied. Please call the airport office to schedule an inspection. All hangars will be inspected, it's just a matter of when.

On another note of note so good news.
We will be increasing the rental/lease rates of all hangars June 1st by 3%.

I know that we said at the first of the year that we would not increase rates this year, but that is just not possible now. As the cost of just about everything associated with running an airport has increased, so must our revenue.

I ask you to remember that there are not too many private airports still around. We have no general fund to go to when times are tough and we still have some of the lowest rental/lease rates in the Inland Empire.

I appreciate your co-operation on all of the above items,

Sincerely,
Bob Cable President, Cable airport Inc.
