WOW! Another spectacular showing of Stearman and Ryan aircraft was on display at the 2nd Annual Stearman/Ryan Fly In. “Thank-you” goes out to Terry Freedman, the Polleys, Bergens, Schusters, Heathcoats and countless others that made a great weekend for all. What a sight from the café, as the planes taxi past one after another. Patrons packed the triangle area and parking lot in awe at the sight of so many beautiful aircraft. Maniac-Mike even got a wonderful ride in one of the beautiful Stearmans that left a smile on his face all weekend long.
Upcoming event in October will be Saturday, October 10, 8 am to 4 pm, the Inland Valley Volkswagen Club will be holding their Annual Oktoberfest in the south triangle area. I know that there are a few VW’s here at the airport, come show it off. In addition, Saturday is the monthly amateur radio swap meet; have some electronics you would like to sell? This may be the place, 6:30 am to 11am next to the beacon.
